What the series is about based on the 1st episode?
There is a generic loser guy Todd Brotzman (Elijah Wood), who is having a boring life, a boring underpaid job as a hotel boy, unpaid rent, and no self-confidence to try to improve any of these aspects. But like usually — one day everything changes. He is the one who finds dead people in one of the hotel’s rooms, gets fired for that (yes, that’s how life works), and then random shit starts to happen. And by “random shit” I really mean random. For example, suddenly the police is interested in him, one weird guy Dirk Gently (Samuel Barnett) shows up and never goes away, people from Mad Max movie come from nowhere and want to kill him, and he wins with a lottery.
There’s also another storyline about an even weirder woman, who kills people. That’s all, she kills people, that’s her thing. There’s nothing more to explain about that. The series was very clear that it’s absolutely enough information we need about…
