What The Witcher: Blood Origin is about based on the 1st episode?
Jaskier, our beloved bard, finds himself in quite a pickle when he is almost killed in a massive fight, but in the last second is miraculously saved by some all-powerful entity, who looks like a level 9000 elf. Turns out that the only reason Jaskier was saved is that he can…sing and write songs. So, the elf-creature wants Jaskier to write a song for her(?) about a long epic story she is going to tell him over the whole episode.
THE STORY: over a thousand years before our magnificently masculine monster-slayer and sex god Geralt of Rivia did his nasty doings in a very small vocabulary way, there was a universe where apparently only elves were living and their three kingdoms were doing the 1000 year war. For reasons I didn’t understand the kings were all killed when they wanted to sign a treaty, and then somehow all the kingdoms were united by a bitch elf (more about her later) and some complex drama…
