Movie Review: Mothers and Daughters
This year’s better ensemble Mother’s Day movie

I have just one review at About.com this week. Here’s the intro to my take on Mothers and Daughters:
Many ensemble dramas should be anthology films. Their three or four intertwined plots should be pulled apart and placed side by side. But to a lot of people, that looks like a themed program of shorts. And unfortunately that’s not as popular as a movie where all the characters exist under the same roof. Even if, as is the case with Mothers and Daughters, the only link between its stories is the fact that characters from each do literally live in the same building.
