Fortnite players roast “goofy” change to skins following update

There is no shortage of fun crossover content in Fortnite, as players can equip their favorite characters from different pieces of media as unlockable cosmetic skins. This also includes numerous heroes from Marvel and DC.

While it can be fun to swing around the map as Daredevil or Batman, players have noticed that some of these skins look odd. This can be attributed to many of them sporting a strangely pleased facial expression.

Reddit user ‘CorptanSpecklez’ pointed out that a lot of skins in Fortnite now look “weirdly happy.” They showcased pictures of the Hawkeye, Cable, Daredevil, and Batman skins, all sporting wide grins.

Many players in the thread found this amusing as it made the characters look a bit off. One user commented: “When you thought the goofy Fortnite smile couldn’t get any goofier.” Another added: “Batman needs his smiling privileges revoked.”

In another thread by the same Redditor, many players were quick to roast how Batman looks with a smile on his face, with one user claiming that it “makes him creepier.” Others began speculating why so many skins are now smiling.

One user pointed out that this is likely the result of the developers altering the faces of the skins in the recent Fortnite update. This led to one commenter expressing: “It looks so wrong on some skins. I hope this is a glitch.”

It remains to be seen if the developers will change the skins so that they are no longer constantly smiling. For the meantime, players are finding joy in joking about how strange they look.
