Fresh markets

The end of the year has brought several new exchanges for GCC. These are the USA-based TCXHub (awaiting opening of deposits) and Malta-based CoinDeal (listing due this month) — the exchange you so amazingly decided we should be listed on in the successful recent voting!

Reopened & ready now

Also, on the 3rd of December, the temporarily inactive Sweden-based NovaExchange reopened under new owners with a 40+ team working over 7 timezones, and has just started registrating new users, which means you can also trade there just as before.

The landscape after the wallet update

The exchanges we have already been listed on received the updated GCC wallet (2.3.0.0) and have now implemented it or are finishing this process. Cryptopia should resume trading soon. Our community admin GCC Joel recently visited Cryptopia HQ in Christchurch, NZ, to see how the wallet update is going. Their devs are currently working on over 70 wallet updates, but our case is on the shortlist. Wheareas C-CEX eventually responded to our queries by updating to new wallet, but did not halt trading on the old GCC blockchain, so it is hard to predict how the old and the new wallet will work after the hardfork. We do not recommend trading there until the C-CEX’s official statement.

A word from the GCC dev team

Caytrex is in heavy preparation. Currently, we are in the development process of front-end and are designing handy UX functionalities. We expect it to be a fast, attractive and user-friendly platform. All this to give you the best trading experience. We are also including a live trade view from exchanges GCC is listed on to our block explorer and will add the remaining ones when they open. This is a useful tool, which is not seen too often in crypto explorers. The functionality will be available shortly.

See you around soon with a fresh compilation of news. Cheers!
