The Grass is Always Greener…

I’ve seen a lot of articles recently talking about the “10 Happiest Cities in the US” or the “10 Jobs Where Employees Feel Most Satisfied”. Just because a person writes an article declaring a certain place that “happiest” doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the case for everyone. You always have to be true to yourself. Happiness or satisfaction doesn’t come from following the crowd. What may be the ideal situation for one person may be hell for another. I know myself, and personally, I would have a very difficult time working one of these “satisfactory” jobs or living in one of those “cheerful” cities. When I first graduated from college, I used to love reading these articles and always thought the grass was greener on the other side. However, as my life has progressed, I’ve come to realize there is only one person that knows what makes me happy. And that’s me. Don’t listen to these articles. They are giving you their thoughts. And in order to form your own opinion, you need to experience life and always listen to yourself. More times than not, you’re doing what’s right for you.
