5 Things Your Travel and Tourism Website Should Have Right Now
Relax. Social media and globalization hasn’t crippled the tourism industry. In fact, the tourism industry is experiencing unprecedented growth.
As I look at tourism and travel agency websites, I’m surprised to find that most aren’t doing the basic things to compete with sites that have top ranking on Google.
Here are five things that your travel and tourism website should have:
- Blog articles — In this Google indexed world, content is king. Content is going to increase your ranking and lure more customers. Hiring a blog or copywriter is a small but worthy investment.
- Trip Advisor — If you don’t have a Trip Advisor account, get one. Once you have it, integrate the comments and user generated content into your site.
- Travel Packages — Each travel package and tour should be accompanied by user testimony, article, pictures and if possible video. Be as clear as possible and let people know what their getting.
- Insider information — Travelers want to feel like they’re on an adventure. Provide information that veers off the path of predictability. This is more likely to go viral.
- Visa Information — One of the biggest concerns travelers have is obtaining the proper visa. Your website should include relevant information pertaining to visas and updates.
