Do you know this guy?

His name is Kip Andersen and makes documentary films. The kind that make you reconsider your life choices.

His focus is food.

The first film he produced (with the help of a Kickstarter campaign), Cowspiracy, was good. And his latest flick, What The Health is very good. (P.S. it’s on Netflix.)

The Review

We must admit, watching What The Health left us a little disappointed. Not to mention quite disappointed with the big “health” organizations we once thought were our friends.

Once Kip started digging deeper into what they’re doing to help prevent (preventable) diseases, it became pretty obvious that they’re not really good at it.

You had one job

Imagine you hire a dude to be the security guard for your bank’s vault. He’s a big, intimidating looking guy, but he leaves the vault wide open all the while he is heads down on his phone scrolling Insta.

Eventually, you’re gonna get robbed…and probably by his buddies.

And so, if we keep listening to the recommendations of these “health” organizations, eventually, we’re gonna get sick — and get robbed of our health.

Also, given the fact that there’s a ménage à trois going on between the government, big pharma and the food industry, no one is really helping us out.

Sad face.

You are what you eat

For all of you who aren’t living off Soylent, food does play a pretty big part in your life, so it’s important to know more about the truth about what goes into your mouth.

We know, we know. Not another health food documentary. But you know what? We want you to be reading The Goods for years to come :)

So ya, we’re gonna push what we believe in — healthy and happy readers.

Bon appetito and bon cinéma!
