Be Consistent, don’t procrastinate and find your zeal!

In this fast paced world, it is easy to get distracted and out of whim. As a blogger myself, if not lazy, I tend to procrastinate at all times. When I say all times, it means all times.
Take for instance, since I got home from a five-day summer camp in one of UAE’s Emirates, I have been planning since then to write a blog post about it. Fast forward to three weeks… I still haven’t written a single word or even drafted something about it. Now, I’ve got a lot of things to write.
Two articles for two websites
A blog post about summer camp
A blog post for a blogger’s campaign
A blog post for an upcoming Kids event
A blog post about all several ideas I can’t get off my head
I just have a lot to do that I forget all my priorities and miss my goals. If only I was superhuman where I can post something out of one click, but no. Blogging takes determination. Blogging is my voice, but I don’t know how to get it out my throat.
I realized a few things I’d like to share with you all.
Focus
At times, I ask myself. “Hannah, where is your focus?” hoping it will get me back to writing. What I dont realize is thinking about the task will never complete what I have to do. What completes it is the will to get up and start typing!
Zeal
Yes. I don’t normally use this word but this is surely one thing I have to apply to myself as a blogger. Sometimes, blogging can be difficult. As for me, I can spend hours fixing how my site looks until I miss out on the content itself. At the end of the day, I say to myself “I can write the content tomorrow” just because I already spent too much of my time on things that are literally less important. But even if I spent hours designing my blog if only I had the zeal to spend an hour more for writing, then I could’ve been done with everything in the first place. Time management it is.
Consistency
Lastly, if there’s one thing I learned as a blogger, it would be consistency. Sometimes it can really be hard to set a schedule of when to post, to write or to even look at my blog. I’ve experienced days where I just didn’t want to have anything to do with writing, and there are days where I can write tons of articles in a day! The main point here is: If you expect a growth in your readers, then consistency must be a must. Even then, what will keep you going as a writer is when you enjoy what you do and are motivated to do more of what you usually can.
I admit, I’m still in these steps to becoming a better blogger. If you think we are going through the same, then don’t forget to recommend this post!
