A description of how different silos exist within companies. These are like departments or tribes within a company who are only really looking out for themselves instead of the wider group. The author describes how these silos can affect companies and how some companies base their recruitment and business model on breaking down silos .
I also learned A LOT about the financial crisis and how the careless greed that led to the crash was justified by culpable ignorance.

A fable about a group of penguins and their need for imminent change.
My take away was the importance of strong and decisive leadership, being able to identify and deal with the different barriers to implementing change.

Beautifully written fictional book following a person’s rise to power from humble beginnings. It prompts you question the value of relationships in building financial and emotional wealth.
Its an interesting read as the novel uses a second-person perspective, referring to the protagonist only as "you."

It was actually sincere, earnest and profound in its practical simplicity.

Pseudo psychology and evolutionary theory tied in with business principles. Although I don’t agree with all of the science, I understand and appreciate the sentiment.
The author describes how people react to certain situations and attempts to explain why they react in this way. The real value in this book are the potential solutions to these reactions.

The provide clear and concise principles of leadership. They first provide a battlefield/navy seals example, followed by a workplace example, followed by a solution and clearly defined leadership principle that applies to and resolves both situations.
