Are Blog Directories and Search Engines A Waste of Time?

There were a number of blog directories and search engines. I have used some of them. It looks like a number of blog directories cease to exist anymore that were written in a long list for you to choose from. Yes, blogs need traffic and need to be promoted. I see no point in getting them into every blog directory and search engine. Google is always the one to be number one as far as the search engine and the news. As far as the search engine, Google is the main one that you need. If you can get into the Google news, then you are blessed. The Internet is a big run around. It is nice to have blog directories if they are going to do your blogs a lot of good. If your blog is not seen and just sitting in the directories, it is a waste of time.
