One hundred and fifty words is not much.  Be selective. Don’t rush.

Awareness returned. The monolith had protected me from the worst of the fall out.

Phantom crystal, by its nature was created out of weakness and then reinforced. There was always a fault in its creation.

The wails of the dead were still audible as awareness returned. I had died, but once more I lived.

The Head used the wails of the dead like arrows shooting lasers of ghostly sound directly at us.

We were deep in the belly of the monster. The obsidian monolith stood center of the lowest chamber.
