Turning 25
I turned 25 a few days back. Here are the (best 25) lessons life has taught me so far in all these wonderful years :
- Do not expect anything from people — even your most loved ones.
- Know that a lot of people expect a lot of things from you — try not to disappoint your loved ones.
- Find at least one thing in life that you really love doing — then do it as much as you can.
- Your family will never stop loving you — spend as much time as possible with them.
- There is always light at the end of the tunnel, it’s just that the tunnel can be long — never give up no matter what the situation is.
- Never compare yourself with anyone — you should be your only competition. Be better tomorrow than you are today.
- Only your parents in this entire world can genuinely want you to become better than what they are — you just can’t respect them enough for this fact.
- You can do anything you set your mind to — just focus and stay disciplined.
- One small deed of kindness can mean the world to someone — keep on doing them.
- If you have a well wisher outside your family, it’s a huge blessing — never lose them and be with them when they need you.
- If something bothers you — change it or stop cribbing about it if you can’t.
- Positive thinking can do wonders — try to do it in all the situations.
- Time is your most valuable resource — nothing else in this world is more valuable.
- You can only have so much true friends — try not to lose them.
- Wisdom comes with experiences, not years — make sure you experience a lot of different things.
- Do not judge people — you don’t know the shit they’ve been through.
- Smile in the worst of situations — show life who’s the boss.
- If you love someone, just go out and confess, don’t wait for the perfect moment — it might be too late.
- Always be curious, always question — never stop learning.
- Make sure you share all that you’ve learned — before it’s too late.
- Never, ever, for a moment think you are above or below anyone else — we are all equal.
- Just thinking will get you no where — be a doer.
- Never let money be a decision maker for your career — always choose what you love doing.
- Always be open minded — you will learn so much more.
- Most important — Always be humble, no matter what you become.
