A dollar an hour for writing is better than nothing. The motivation a new writer gets from Medium is immense.

But eventually once you have brushed your skills, and created connections you can eventually plan on moving to quality over quality. I only started feeling burned out about 5 months in.

In the beginning I wrote every day for couple of months, with a lot of interaction with other writers before i started seeing some earnings. And this is what I would recommend all new or returning writers.
