The Casual Problem
Dana Reback

What about considerations such as Sherlock not being fresh and new anymore? It remains more difficult to repeat success/acclaim than it is to achieve it in the first place. Additionally, since the debut of Sherlock’s scintillating first season, it has been overtaken in the cultural landscape by other excellent televised/Netflixed/Amazoned dramas that don’t require waiting two or three years between seasons.

At any rate, I hope the series isn’t over yet. It needs to revert to form and conclude with a better ending than what we were left with in “The Final Problem.”
