A Message to Tom Perez’s DNC: We Did Not Want More Of The Same
Feb 25, 2017 · 2 min read
I thought we were pretty clear. We said, repeatedly, that we:
- did not did not want more of the same failures
- did not did not want more of the same failed policies
- did not did not want more of the same failed leadership
- did not want the DNC being dominated by the big money donors
- did not want the same misguided (or corrupt?) cadre members running the party
- did not want a party that was trying to be ‘republican lite’
- did not want a party that abandoned Labor to court table scraps from Wall Street
- did not want a party that ignores grassroot movements unless they get to craft them and manage them as disposable tools
- did not want another cowardly ‘beltway insider’ who only braves interviews when he can control the questions (i.e. you, Mr. Perez)
- did not want more establishment
- did not want more business as usual
- did not want more neo-liberalism
- did not want more of being well-funded losers in the next series of near-mock elections
I thought we were clear about all this.
So, lets be clear now.
- We are not your toy solders.
- We are not your followers.
- We are not your drooling sycophants.
- We are aware of your games and your duplicity.
- We are aware of your corruption.
- We are aware of your disloyalty to the principles etched on the shining banners you vigorously wave for us to follow.
- We are aware you only seek to use us.
- We are aware you have no intention to help us.
- We are aware that you will never actually represent us.
- We are aware of the disdain you have for us.
- We know exactly what you are now.
So YOU be aware:
Because you *refused* to listen to us: we are finished with you.
