The endemic corruption of the government that is allowed to exploit people of color is a major problem. There are some bright shining stars standing for justice (David O. Brown firing officers with histories of improper behavior is the most well known), but the fight he had with the police union is legendary.
The thing that I cannot comprehend is why there is a large group of white people who believe “we” are immune from systemic injustice. Corrupt systems are corrupt for everyone. It may be more “comfortable” to believe it’s an issue only for people of color, but it’s a complete lie.
There is no doubt that white Americans live in a fantasy world substantiated by absolutely nothing.
