They call me ignorant for thinking Hillary Clinton is a warmonger.

I wonder about that. Am I misinformed? Or, is it just that Democrats are so trusting of their “leaders” that they assume any call for war or droning or no fly zones or “material support to rebels” must be necessary and justified because … they are Democrats? (That is, they are in the Democratic Party these days.)

Well, we need to banish our own ignorance by researching the facts. We know that the war protests got a lot smaller (or stopped) after Bush left office. The war didn’t really stop, and we did get involved in conflicts in other countries, but we did start reducing troops. So maybe Hillary can be forgiven for “just following orders.”

Or maybe we can look into what State Hillary Clinton was doing and saying. We all know Hillary voted for war in Iraq as a Senator, but she acknowledges the mistake and of course many were deceived by Cheney, Colin Powell and others. Some may not know that she co-sponsored Senate Resolution 439, calling for the expansion of NATO. But, then she also advocated for intervention in Libya, and we all know how that turned out. And who can forget Hillary’s celebration of that?

Later in 2011, Secretary of State Clinton led the charge to oust Syrian President Assad, once again encouraging the US to get involved in a foreign country’s internal conflict. Iraq lesson learned? Apparently not by Hillary Clinton.

Can I be forgiven my ignorance? Even if it’s contagious?
