I don’t disagree with the idea that women need security within society, but I don’t really prefer painting all relationships between men and women with this broad of a brush, especially when this statement patently ignores the fact that queer relationships can be damaging for women, that non-binary people exist, and that there are other intersectional factors that apply. A white woman has much more security within society than a man of colour does in many instances, and this just kind of ignores that. So… yes, women need security within society. Anyone having and taking care of children needs security for those children. But I don’t think that saying all relationships between men and women are inherently dangerous for the women involved.
