Friends, we continue the tradition of meeting #MetaHash enthusiasts. Today we are pleased to share with you an interview with one of the most active members of RU community, Serhii (@fourinin).
- Serhii, thank you for the response! Tell us briefly about yourself, how did you come to the IT sphere?
I have closely connected my life with IT since high school, graduated from the University with technical specialization, as well as received business education on one of the MBA programs. For the last few years, I have been interested in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. After a time my interest grew into a real hobby. I learned about #MetaHash long before the start of ICO and appreciated the perspective of the project after reading White and Yellow papers.
- What programming language do you know and where do you use it?
I use .Net technology in my work, my main programming language is C#. With them, you can create various games, websites, chatbots and much more!
#Metahash interested me by the possibility to develop decentralized applications in any programming language. So far I have launched several dApps developed on the Unity game engine (C#), HTML and JavaScript.
- Can you tell us about the largest app\project you have worked on?
I have participated in many interesting projects, but I will mention just a few of them. The most large-scale project was developing a CRM-system from scratch. The most exciting, perhaps, was the development of the “State in a Smartphone”, an application for children and young people based on the Bloqly blockchain with support from UNICEF. Our team has successfully solved all tasks, as well as improved product security using hardware key information carriers. What about dApps, the most interesting one was a messenger based on the Ethereum blockchain.
- Are you interested in cryptocurrencies only technically or do you also trade? Why?
I believe that the cryptosphere has not yet reached its full potential it is only developing. I am not an active trader, but if I liked one of the crypto assets, I consider buying for a medium or long-term period.
- There are many enthusiasts of Bitcoin considering it the best cryptocurrency. Do you agree with them and why?
Probably everyone who has heard about cryptocurrencies associates them with Bitcoin which is the first world cryptocurrency. Its network is currently unable to handle a huge number of transactions, forcing users to raise fees in order to speed up sending funds, while the complexity of its mining is increasing every year. Imagine how many resources would have been freed up if Bitcoin had supported the Multi-PoS algorithm like #MetaHash.
The industry is not standing still, the market already offers some blockchains, which not only solve the problems of Bitcoin but also provide many new solutions, developing the next generation of blockchain.
Of course, Bitcoin has many drawbacks, but it was the first who pushed to the development of cryptocurrencies and blockchain in general.
- Do you have plans for #MetaHash after reaching decentralization and connecting dApps? What are they?
Of course, I will continue to support existing dApps, as soon as new features are implemented, I will give priority to developing applications where users can interact with each other. This will certainly increase the number of transactions on the #MetaHash network and attract new users.
Also, I have a big plan to implement a hardware wallet of different formats (flash drives and smart cards) for secure storage of cryptocurrencies supporting work from the #MetaGate.
I am always open to dialogue, if you have good ideas or suggestions, we can discuss cooperation options.
- What technologies related to the blockchain area are worth paying attention to?
First of all, tokenization of various assets, dApp, smart contracts, DEX and DeFi. I am confident that in the next few years we will see new great technologies in these areas.
- What recommendations can you give to those who are just starting to study cryptocurrencies?
If you are interested in one of the cryptocurrencies, I strongly recommend learning their White paper and Yellow paper. White Paper is a document intended for a wide range of people who want to understand the main features of the project, Yellow Paper reveals in detail the operating of a particular cryptocurrency. Every true project usually has these documents. You can read the technical documents of #Metahash on the official website or ask our friendly community for help.
You should also pay attention to the project team. In 2017–18 years, many platforms attracted attention due to famous personalities who actually had a weak team (or lack of it) and good marketing, which resulted in a scam or closing of the project. While a quality team, qualified in legal, analytical, technical and marketing senses, will provide success.
And, of course, don’t be afraid to try!
