We are excited to announce the release of Peer Node new version (https://github.com/metahashorg/peer_node). This repository contains the second generation of a Peer Node — its software allows you to process requests faster and will be more loyal to your hardware than the previous one.
As you know, a Peer node is a very important role that receives transactions from clients first. It checks transaction validity, sends transactions to verification nodes. Such a node does not keep the blockchain state in memory, therefore, does not require significant computing resources. Now it requires even less.
