#MetaHash users know that over the entire way of its development, our team has been constantly working on major changes, additions and network improvements. New #MetaApps were developed, agreements with exchanges were concluded, forging and the reward system were modified… However, alongside these global changes, constant work was led (and is led now) on the usability of our #MetaGate browser.

For example, earlier versions of #MG were extracted from the archive, but now it is downloaded as a full-fledged program; some users had problems installing on Windows — now all necessary certificates are received and the program works in almost seamless mode etc. Now all processes, in general, are faster, more stable and need less traffic. It was achieved thanks to successive steps, from the start to today. So, let’s review them!

From December 2018 to August 2019, many milestones were passed, more than 10,000 tickets were processed and the network was significantly optimized. In particular, versions 1.18 and 1.19 were released, as well as subversions within them. It has almost completely changed the #MetaGate usability. For example, the #MetaGate loading screen appeared, which made the process easier for the user to understand. And thanks to the update of #MG, now the program is minimized to tray (when closed). An updated node filter in #MG allowed network members to rank nodes by roles (Infrastructure Torrent Node, Peer Node), even taking into account non-forging nodes. Work with the Infrastructure Torrent Node has also been optimized: notification of connection with such nodes has been configured.

In addition, users now have the opportunity to upload, search and view custom dApps from other members of the community. Updated #MG supports the latest version of #MetaWallet with an improved interface, with faster work, as well as with functionality to restore a wallet, change its name, add it to a view, and also with a notification system about a balance change.

Before
After

If you want to know more about the history of #MetaGate development (and, perhaps, get all nostalgic), then find the old versions on GitHub. But be careful: when using older releases of #MetaGate, some functionality may not be available, so it is always better to use the current version.
