September Goals

I’d like to take the time to thank everyone who has recently followed the blog and liked my latest posts. I am so grateful to be a part of an environment full of people who support and lift each other in so many ways!

Remember, I post content about minimalism, self-help, motivation, anxiety, tech and my journey of self teaching web development so if you’re interested in content like this consider subscribing!

Now that September is here, we are welcoming the season of change. I originally started a blog at the beginning of the year that was all about stationery. I love journals, planners, pens and paper so for a little over a year I wrote reviews and conducted interviews with companies to find out more about their brands. I even got a chance to go to the biggest stationery event in the country held in New York. Once I returned from doing all that work there, I realized one crucial thing. It wasn’t enough of a passion to turn into a career. At first I thought I’d wasted my time and others but, I quickly realized that wasn’t the case at all. I’d gained valuable information about myself that led me to where I am now. You can read more about that here.

If you’ve noticed, I started this blog in January and under another name (previously “The Minimal Jess”). I thought I wanted to focus on my stationery blog but I was always drawn to wanting to focus on the content you’ll find here which consists of passing on positive energy, motivating blogs, minimalism, self help and my journey into the tech world.

So here are my September goals:

  1. I will be attempting to post on this blog, Medium and Instagram 5 days a week (Mon-Fri). I will do my best to post at 3pm est.
  2. Transition from using my binder planner to a bullet journal. ( If you all are interested in a comparison blog on how I switched and the pros and cons, I will gladly do that. Let me know in the comments below!)
  3. Start a tech series with tips, advice and info about self teaching web development. I will also do tech product reviews. (These will be Friday’s post)
  4. Practice coding 3–4 hours a day.
  5. Engage with other bloggers and my audience.
  6. Write my gratitude, wins for the day and affirmations.
  7. Finish reading “Think and Grow Rich” ( I’ll be doing book reviews on the blog as well when I finish self- help books).
  8. Go to bed at 10pm wake up at 4am.
  9. Only watch uplifting content on YouTube or things that pertain to what I want to do career wise.

Holding yourself accountable for goals you set, whether big or small, will get you closer to the life you want to design.

Before you go…
