Great article! I get emails about our open positions daily. 90 out of 100 will be eliminated because there is a typo in their resume or cover letter. Most, if not all of the remaining will be eliminated by not including samples of their work or failing to follow the basic directions in the ad.

1. Pay attention to detail; don’t have typos in stuff you send.
2. Do your homework; send a message that relates to the business.
3. Send us samples; why would we hire you without seeing what you’re capable of? Save us the time of asking for it.
