The Adventure Begins
Kia Ora Everyone
I know I said I would put up blog posts about our adventures in New Zealand and it has been 6 months since I have landed here and this is the first post but there is good reason for that. January we were getting settled and getting furniture that we still needed and what not. We did do Auckland Days (more about that in another post). February- April and some of May our Immune systems were attacked by New Zealand germs and we both took turns being sick and on antibiotics. There were a few days that we felt well enough to do stuff that we went out and about and checked stuff out which will be in other posts.
So anyway our flight here was delayed due to a snowstorm in Toronto which meant we had to rearrange our flights and fly through Australia. Instead of fireworks for New Years we got to see a really nice sun rise.
Paul had the first week off to help show me around town and get me set with everything I needed like banking and cellphone. We also were able to get our 8 boxes that we shipped from Canada. It took 2 trips from airport customs to get them back to our apartment and Paul said he got a funny look from the guy when he pulled up to the loading door the first time with our car. Only 4 boxes could fit in at a time and it was a tight fit (there is times we miss our truck).
Well that’s all for now.
Up next will be our trip to the aquarium.
