Shut up and listen (or hear)

I definitely don’t do this enough, and need to prioritize it. It’s hard to quiet the cacophony of everything else that’s banging about in my head sometimes. It’s hard to be patient with my kids, my life, my work, if I’m not taking the time to listen. And not just listen, but hear. I always think of White Men Can’t Jump when I say that. “You can listen to Jimi, but you can’t hear him. There’s a difference.” Paying attention is one thing. Trying to understand and giving yourself to that moment is another. OK. I’ll shut up now and continue understanding/giving myself to this great article.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
