Before I kick off with the details, let’s get one thing straight: I’m a movie buff. If I could, I’d build a fort out of DVDs and Blu-rays, bunker down, and spend my days soaking in all the cinematic brilliance that Hollywood and the world have to offer. I’ve sat through all sorts of films: from flicks that left me questioning my life choices to those that made me want to write love letters to their directors. But there’s one movie, one infamous, soul-sucking cinematic endeavor that managed to do what no other has done before: ‘The Last Airbender’ — and it ain’t for any good reason, trust me.

Inception of the Apocalypse

Now let’s wind back the clock to 2010. Our hearts were still aching from James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, we were trying to wrap our heads around Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ and somewhere amidst these masterpieces, we were “blessed” with ‘The Last Airbender’ by M. Night Shyamalan. Now, I’m not saying Shyamalan isn’t a competent director — the man gave us ‘The Sixth Sense’, for crying out loud. But oh boy, did he drop the ball with this one, and drop it hard!
