We’re going to publicise human rights abuses around the world — and we need your help

The News Hub, a journalism platform, and Movements, a human rights platform, have partnered to give a voice to the downtrodden. And we’re looking for writers like you.

The News Hub is a space for stories that are not covered sufficiently — or at all — by the mainstream press. Movements is a crowdsourcing platform which connects human rights activists to organisations and individuals with the resources and/or expertise to help them. Together, we will publicise human rights abuses.

Most of the requests submitted to Movements by activists are for publicity. Unfortunately, many activists don’t have the English language skills to convey their stories to the western press. This is where you can come in.

The News Hub will provide the space. But you, the writer, will explain what the activists have experienced, what they feel, what they think and what they hope — amplifying unheard voices from around the world.

If you’re a writer and would like to help human rights activists, please contact The News Hub at contributors@the-newshub.com or Movements at info@movements.org and mention this partnership.

Activists should post their requests for news coverage in the comments section of the offer The News Hub has placed on the Movements.org website.

Let’s do this.
