NORSU grabs overall champion in Regional PASUC 7 2023

Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) emerged victorious over six participating State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) after being declared as the overall champion during the Region 7 Philippine Association State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Culture and the Arts Festival, held at the NORSU Sports and Cultural Gymnasium, November 14.

Each contingent from Cebu Normal University (CNU), Cebu Technological University (CTU), University of the Philippines-Cebu (UP-Cebu), Siquijor State College (SSC), Bohol Island State University (BISU), and Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) demonstrated their unmatched skill and tenacity through fierce rounds of competition in culture and the arts.

NORSU solidified its position at the top of the leaderboard and arose as the overall champion, amassing a total of 155 points.

CNU finished first-runner up with 142 points, followed by UP-Cebu in second-runner up with 114 points.

Furthermore, BISU secured the third-runner-up with 107 points, while CTU claimed the fourth-runner-up with 66 points, and SSC attained fifth place with 42 points.

The victors securing the top spot in each category will be the regional representatives at the National PASUC 2023, while discussions about the hosting responsibilities for the region are still ongoing.
