I am a full stack developer and I like to use ‘full stack’ to distinguish myself from a frontend developer or a middletier developer or a database developer. Yes I can develop a full polished web app well. As a full stack .NET developer, I can develop and troubleshoot anything in the app whether Javascript, HTML, CSS or JS Framework du jour in the frontend, C# and WebApi, web services or whatever non UI code in the middle tier or database design, SQL and stored procedures and optimize queries & database structure for maximum performance for transactional or reporting/data warehousing purposes. I am not sure why you have an issue with this term. I am strong in every tier with my 25+ years of continuous development and learning.

Of course I don’t most of the JS Frameoworks out there but I’ll use what I know to develop a nice web app. The user doesn’t care what I used as long as the app works correctly, is performant, has good UX and does its job.
