You have good observation for the overall design of both platforms, but some points I have to disagree:

  1. The screenshot on Android is convenient but very annoying and contribute to the mess of notification bar.
  2. Android got it first with grouped notifications, but it has 2 annoying things: apps keep showing notifications I’ve already read (but not read in apps) and you cannot turning off the sound except having to go through all categories (for example: Medium app), which is stupid. These 2 represents 1 important thing differentiates Android from iOS: giving more permissions to apps than they needed

On iOS notifications taking a lot of real estate, I think that’s their design point: make user focus on one thing at a time. Yep, many people hate it.

One thing I missed about iOS when using Android, besides Apple apps, is dictionary (which may not make sense to English native, but is huge to me)
