Thanks for the response. I don’t think it would be fair to blame the decline in working class support entirely on Corbyn. I’ve tried to make that point by showing how working class support ebbs and flows over time and with other leaders, especially when we’re in Government. However I think the fall under Corbyn is significant and worrying. He is accelerating a longer trend, not turning it around. On UKIP, the thing that surprises me is that they are not really benefiting from Labour’s crisis. It is the Tories who are seeing the gains.
