TIMVF Awards — Here’s Who Won
Ever since the rise of YouTube and the fall of MTV, pundints across the board have stated that music videos are dying. No one watches them, no one celebrates them. At the Toronto International Music Video Festival (TIMVF), those people are proven wrong.
The final night of the festival saw the nominations across the board for music videos in rap, rock, alternative, experimental, all kinds of genres. After opening remarks from festival organizer Mac Downy, guided through the festival by the charismatic and captivating host Akil McKenzie, the night was full of good music and great art.
Without further setting up here are the winners of TIMVF, starting with the music videos that won from a multitude of genres.
