Starting from November until next year, Ontology is holding a series of hackathons across the globe to search for blockchain fanatics who, like Ontology, are devoted to building a fairer internet for us all.

Each of the events will have prizes for the top three teams, who will all make it to the final. The winning team of the grand finale will take away $50,000 USD in ONT. Each hackathon will also have special prizes for projects which did not make the top three.

You can sign up for the Seoul hackathon here and the Tokyo hackathon here. There will also be hackathons in Beijing and Shanghai in November.

For more information on the other hackathon stops, keep an eye on the hackathon mini-site.

I want to participate, what to do next?

First of all, you can take a look at Ontology Documentation and familiarize yourself with Ontology’s technology.

You can also read this article to familiarize yourself with Ontology MainNet, Ontology 1.0, and where we are headed in the near future.

Finally, make sure you have joined our developer community on Discord. You can interact directly with our team and other community developers in the development channels and ask questions about the hackathons in the #hackathon channel.

What if I’m not a developer?

While each team requires developers, UX/UI designers, product managers, and others can be part of teams. If you don’t think you’re suitable for a team you can still take part in our meetups which are generally on the afternoon of the second day of each hackathon event.
