Bernie supporters tend to support him because his views (but really, his rhetoric) seem more radical. That’s the only reason I posited that Hillary is ALSO radical. It may be a stretch to claim outsiderness on Bernie’s behalf, considering he is not only an older white man (the traditional group who have run the country) he is a New Yorker, where Jews are hardly “scapegoated by the dominant gentile culture.” That said, I completely agree that both candidates are running on a platform of claiming some power for the people. I just believe that Hillary, as a woman and in looking at her extensive record, has women’s issues as a centerpiece to her campaign. It’s not to say Bernie doesn’t, but I believe he takes a 10,000 foot view.
