yep. I’ve gone cash only in lean times, and folks with no access to banking would be in a really bad way (which is a higher number than I thought — I read a review of The Unbanking of America (here?) - https://www.amazon.com/Unbanking-America-Middle-Class-Survives-ebook/dp/B01912OYO0). In rural midwest (and West Virginia according to previous billfold articles) people also use a lot of checks — because they feel more secure than a card to those who are used to them… etc….
