what do you think about those developers doing some tech debt and refactoring work while they are not 100% busy with sprint tasks?
I know the ideal picture of T-shaped engineers is always in the air, but I remember it since 2010 or so, and don’t know many teams to be successful with this concept for various reasons. But the majority of the teams have huge piles of tech debt all the time.
In my previous company frontend guys were quite creative lot as well, so when they had nothing to do they were free to improve stuff they thought needs to be improved together with a designer. We would never have included tasks like that as a sprint goals and would never fix them probably
