Uttarakhand, the land of Gods, is blessed with a diverse ethnicity; be it art, food or music. Music has been an integral part of the place; the calm and serene ambience of this place surrounded with hills and mountains has inspired many musicians to compose great tones. The scintillating glimpse of ever flowing rivers, lush green forests, and heavenly beauty of hilly areas add to the natural components of the folk music over here. They mainly include the spiritual and socio- culture scenes of the place.

Keeping the traditions alive, The Pahadi organizes Chholiya dance, performed by the Rajputs with the sword and shield in pairs. It is led by the male dancers who ensure the sound of turi and ransing is perfectly synchronized. Marked with jumps and turns of the body, the dancers show several sword fighting feats, attired in Pahadi costumes, setting up the perfect ambience while welcoming the guests.
