Hysterical Lieberman blames Abbas for Athens Embassy shooting
The Palestine Project. Dec 12, 2014
Athens: Greek police have no lead, but hardly few hours after the pre-dawn gunfire attack, the Israeli Foreign Ministry blames Palestinian incitement for the incident.
Perhaps FM Avigdor Lieberman and his staff know something no one else does; or Lieberman himself have some supernatural abilities that we don’t know about to see things no one else can.
No defence of Abbas here, but if Lieberman has any information he should be communicating with the Greek Police rather than ordering one of his Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nachshon to issue a statement saying “”The attack on the Israeli embassy in Athens is another link in a chain of violent actions that has resulted from anti-Israeli incitement disseminated around the world by leaders of the Palestinian Authority and pro-Palestinian organisations,” This statement according to Haaretz was issued “under direction from Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.”
According to the Associated Press report, “unidentified assailants opened fire on the Israeli embassy in Athens with an AK-47 assault rifle in the early hours of Friday, Greek police said, but no injuries or damage were reported.” Four people on two motorcycles fired shots at the embassy building in a northern suburb of Athens, a police official said.
So far it’s unknown and the Greek police have no idea or lead on the identity or the motives of the attackers. Yet Israel’s Foreign Minster known for his absurdity and abrupt style, knows who did it. Has to be Abbas of course!
Police have cordoned off the area around the embassy and forensics experts in white protective clothing were searching the area. Police recovered 54 spent bullet casings. Besides that, investigation is going on and so far no solid lead.p
The claim by Israeli officials as instructed by their Foreign Minister is nothing but a hysterical reaction that is geared towards Lieberman’s local constituents and gaining more votes in the next election. Israel indeed has great future ahead in 2015 with choices such as Leiberman.
Naftali Bennett and Benjamin Netanyahu are bound to say something as absurd, or perhaps wait for another better opportunity to blame Abbas -who incidentally has as much power in running the West Bank as the Mayor of Washington in running the White House. Zilch.
