Is Beyoncé coming to Palestine?
There’s a rumor in Palestine, and it is spreading like wildfire!
Shortly after Beyonce’s show stopping Super Bowl performance and announcement of her Formation world tour, Palestine’s rumor mill blew up with talk of Queen Bey’s possible Holy Land stop in August.
Regarding the Tel Aviv tour, a source closer to the artist said that it was still unconfirmed given that Beyonce has captured the world’s attention with her music and her powerful statements about racism and injustice, and she could not see herself entertaining apartheid Israel.
Sources said that a stage would be built at the Kalandia Checkpoint, between Jerusalem and Ramallah, to allow Palestinians who can’t go to their capital alQuds to see the performance. “It’s Beyoncé’s way of saying that apartheid is alive and well in today’s Israel, and no artist with integrity should support such a state,” her spokesperson said.
