It takes one massive change before you realize that people are dragging you down. When one door closes another one open, yes, but not all of us can close doors easily. It either takes someone else to do it for us, or it takes us years before we make the final decision.

We fell into the trap of allowing people to dictate our thoughts and abilities, and it makes us question who we are and what it is that we loved about who we were before we allowed toxicity to enter our world.

You can only discover yourself again if you shut all doors that lead to toxic environments and negative people. Only then will your groove come back to you and allow you to live life to the fullest once again. Only then will new opportunities open; ones that will introduce you to like minded people who will build you up instead of dragging you down.

If you are still looking at an open door through which you really don’t want to walk through again — close it.
