Department of rage avoidance


This week I had to work out how much to charge a client.

Fortunately the last bill was calculated in Excel, and all of the relevant records were present as additional tabs so it was easy to work out what should be included in the new bill.

5 minutes later I was done… oh, wait a minute, that’s not how it happened at all.

Instead I wasted half an hour looking through old emails for evidence and double checking that everything was correct.

I hope I learn from my experience, but experience suggests I won’t.
