Redefine Your Standards

If you will change, everything will change for you. You don’t have to change what’s on the outside, all you’ve got to change is what’s on the inside.

We are the way we are because of the standards we hold ourselves to. Because we believe in these standards. There is emotion. An emotional attachment to the level at which we perceive ourselves. Ask yourself, WHAT ARE YOU BECOMING?

I’ll give you an Example: Meal Prepping. For the dedicated and committed folks, this is a habit we cannot break. Preparation of what you consume can help prevent you from defaulting to ‘take-out’, missing meals or straight up binging. And we can’t forget, for the muscle heads (that’s me), we do it to sustain and amplify the production of “Gainzzz”!

Here’s a small tip: Organize your day so that you don’t feel hungry and deprived. Keep your mind and body satisfied so that you don’t binge. It’s sucks. Inevitably, you end up feeling like crap afterwards anyway (well, I do at least).

Meal Prep your food intake for the day and even the entire week. It takes the hassle and worry out of what to eat and when to eat it. Keeping you on track and focused on your goals (yes, you should have goals and ambition for your life), instead of stressing about emotionally eating and ruining your relationship with food as a result.

Back to Standards…..so, preparation forces you to build strong and decisive habits as well as consistency, patience, diligence and even enhance your creativity with your own self. Where, if you can master these qualities for your Internal Game, they can translate most effectively in every other area of your life too. Holding yourself to higher standards allows you to BECOME more!

 Now you’re probably thinking…..

“I can’t meal prep.” “I’ve never done it before.” “I don’t have the time.” “I’ve got too much to do.” “I’ll do it later.” Or, “it’s not even worth the time in the first place.”

But these are all excuses. If you want to get the most out of yourself and your life, excuses and complaining are not welcome.

“Losers Complain, Winners Train”

One cannot use time as an excuse. Time is not the issue, considering it is an illusion anyway. We all have time. It’s how you prioritize the time you do have. If you want something, you will make it happen. If you continue to believe and standardize yourself a certain way, you will always fulfill that belief and standard. Nobody has more or less time. It’s funny how the most successful people get more done in one day than the “average” person gets accomplished in one week. And they have the same amount of time as everyone else. The difference? They’ve raised their standards. They don’t limit themselves to what they can and cannot do.

We all have an infinite amount of potential; whatever you believe, is what you are going to achieve. Elevate your standards for yourself and watch how much more you can become.

Try this: Scrutinize your daily habits for a day. Just become so aware of what you’re doing, when you’re doing it and why you’re doing it in the first place. Watch how emotionally involved you get when it comes to the things you believe and are truly motivated by. We will do whatever it takes to achieve our standards we hold for ourselves.

Reengineer yourself and the paradigm you religiously abide by and you will actually allow yourself to become aware of your daily habits. Leading to a sense of clarity within yourself and where you are trying to go. You can only become as much as the standard you hold yourself to. The blueprint we’ve been following CAN be changed to create a better YOU. We can’t be so stubborn. We must adapt and align ourselves with our natural motives instead of wasting years of our lives carrying out the conditional trap we have restricted our potential to.

Step back, be open-minded and humble yourself. Raising your standards for what’s Normal will change your life, if you let it. Lose the ego and the overbearing entitlement, it’s only depriving you of the best YOU. We can’t and will not always be right. Sustain your humility and be hungry to learn and grow from others in order to advance yourself. This starts with resetting your barometer. Unleashing your infinite potential. Tapping into your creativity and listening to your core motivations to become more than you currently are.

You will always be who you are today if you never make a change.

Life is about GROWTH and CHANGE. Both are Painful, but it’s better than being stuck somewhere you don’t belong

Do you want to die knowing that you never really stepped outside of your comfort zone to become more of yourself? Don’t dwell on the past and what you’ve already done or not done. The past is over; it doesn’t define you. Keep moving forward.

YOU’RE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST AT BAT

The universe is always in a state of entropy; always changing, therefore, you are going to change too, either for the better or the worse. Might as well GROW as you change. And if you’re not, then you’re wasting your time.

The only lie is the standard we continue to limit ourselves at. Become or be none
