RECIPE: Low Carb Pizza


Looking for a healthier alternative to satisfy your pizza craving? Look no further! Below is a recipe that consists ONLY of “Type S” (slimming) foods:



Crust Ingredients:

  • 4 oz — Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of whole cream
  • 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Italian spices
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese

Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup of pizza sauce (low carb or low sugar, if you can find it)
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • Any other toppings you like (pepperoni, turkey, chicken, etc.)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 375 (F) degrees.

2. Mix cream cheese and eggs until smooth. (TIP: You can do this easily in a blender.)

3. Mix in cream, parmesan cheese, Italian spices and garlic powder.

4. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9x13" pan. (10x14" also works for a thinner crust). TIP: To make clean-up easier, line the bottom with parchment paper (NOT wax paper).

5. Spread mozzarella cheese evenly over the bottom of the pan.

6. Pour egg / cream cheese mixture over mozzarella cheese.

7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Remove from oven and add pizza sauce / toppings, etc.

9. Place back on the top shelf of oven and bake until cheese is melted (about 10–15 minutes).

10. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
