Once a gentleman told me, “You are the most forgettable person I have ever met”. He then rattled off a list, a long list, of things that are wrong with me. I laughed it off and met with a few people to see what I might have done somewhere along the way to ignite his “helpful” side. I still laugh when I get to tell that story.

On a separate occasion I was laughed at and I was crushed. It wasn’t in public. No one else knew yet I couldn’t get over it. I got home, went to my bed, pulled the covers and didn’t leave to the next morning. The next morning a friend called to check on me and I was in tears telling the story.

You have me at being laughed at. That is something I still haven’t become okay with.
