An Open Letter By A #NeverHillary Supporter Who Is Definitely Not Vladimir Putin

Idealism is great, and important to inspire the necessary changes.

Unfortunately, it often comes with youth, and with youth comes naivety.

America is a HUGE country. And now, especially with this kind of Internet communication, everyone, even me, can express their opinion.

It shouldn’t take long to learn that no one is perfect, and that the more you get to know anyone who wants to gain power, the worse they look.

Most often, the process voting is to choose the one who will do less harm.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the wrong choice in this election will mean that millions of innocent, uninvolved people all over the world, will suffer and die. This is not a hyperbole.

Think of that when you want to be idealistic.

Hillary may not be perfect, or even close. She may smell a lot like all older politicians, but that is the system she has learned to master. As a woman she has had a much more difficult time.

If you choose the fastest way to blow-up the system, you greatly increase the odds that you will not be able to support yourself in two years, that inflation will rise dramatically, that pollution on the ground, in the ground and in the atmosphere will greatly increase. There will be a much greater chance of war, and that people undertake age of 28 will end up being conscripted to fight against any person, people or country who insults America.

It could also mean that our freedoms will be restricted and our government will look more like that of Russia or Turkey. When revolutions begin, but then sputter, the backlash is twenty times more severe. The powerful get more power because they can blame the revolutionaries for all the disruption.

So yes, be idealistic. But put the work in. Change comes from convincing people that your ideas are better for everyone. Having a temper tantrum because you lost the first battle makes you lose credibility. A long-term strategy is necessary. That’s what the conservatives did. They took over state legislatures so they could redraw voting districts. They vote in off-year elections. They had the fervor to stick to their plan for years. Progressives should have an easier time making changes because most of their ideas benefit more people.

Really, that’s what gives Hillary a lot of credibility. She has plodded forth, despite every obstacle. She has been lied about, demonized, demeaned, investigated, and criticized for over twenty years. Of course, she has become a bit guarded and made mistakes. Even now becasue she is nearing her goal, Insecure white guys feel more threatened. They don’t want to lose their privilege. They still feel they should be entitled to have advantages over people of color and women. It’s been that way for ever. It’s tough to give it up.

Hillary has almost found a way to overcome that, but not quite. Any flaw in Hillary is magnified, while Trump, who has no idea of what he’s talking about, can say anything and do nothing. He’s a man, and his third wife has big tits. That’s his qualification.
