Cannot See Created Virtual Machines in VMware

I know you guys are probably frustrated uninstalling and installing VMware or Virtual Machines multiple times. But you don’t have to worry now, cause it’s an easy solution and it may have been caused due to a pretty simple mistake.

Now, this was the first time I encountered this issue. I was tinkering with Ubuntu settings and I somehow disabled the thing that should not be disabled. If you are wondering how could this VMware problem occur due to Ubuntu settings then you are right to wonder.

Tell us the solution already

Okay, okay, I was just trynna share my story. Now, to fix this problem, we just have to enable the thing that was disabled in the Settings.

  1. First, go to Settings,
  2. Privacy -> File History
  3. Enable File History
Enable File History in Settings
Enable File History in Settings

Summary

This happened because VMware couldn’t find the Virtual Machine that we created earlier since we turned off the File History. So, after we enabled File History, VMware now knows where our Virtual Machine is located and solves the problem for us.

There you go. Hope this helps and don’t forget to wonder.
