A line, a branch and a fold

“Simplicity is the ultmost sophistication” — Leonardo da Vinci

Tools that I’ve borrowed from the book Imagining the Tenth Dimension: A New Way of Thinking About Time and Space, Rob Bryanton

We often suffer from disconnects or divides. Those are gaps, conflicts, dichotomies, conundrums we can’t seem to get around with.

Physics has a nice trick for simplifying ideas and transcending apparent paradoxes. It is adding dimensions, imagining them, and we experience a shift of mind.

Those tools are very handy in storytelling, as well, if one thinks of how to get the most exciting of narratives, exploring different scenarios, realities, and more.

Which brings up to mind we are but storytellers. We sample reality at our best, and link them in a similar way as it happens in digital signal processing. We bridge the samplings or “snapshots” of reality, pretty much behaving as Flatlanders or ants on a plane, unaware of higher scenarios.

Dreaming up those spaces, imaginary or not, may help us envision how we are inter-connected, and thus, providing a hard-core atheist with a geometric pathway with a feeling of belonging, so essential in human well-being.

In sum, there are three tools for weaving a fabric of a creative healing for us in small and large scales.

Have a great day, everyone!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
