Actually it is precisely a refutation of precisely what is being claimed: that police are inherently and violently racist against blacks, that black males are being disproportionately slaughtered by white cops. By definition black cops killing black men isn’t racism — it can’t be. To say otherwise is to eschew fundamental comprehension of language — to linguistically stick your tounge out and plug your ears, refusing to accept reality. You might as well claim the curvature of the earth not only doesn’t refute the fact that it is round but reinforces its flatness!
By placing the blame on an alleged racism you ignore the actual causes and in so doing avoid taking steps to actually fix things — to make it better. Sure, it seems so simple to just say “racism!”. Doing that not only doesn’t require thought but requires its absence. It means you can’t be blamed because of what someone else thinks. Meanwhile the real problem continues to fester like any other papered over wound.
What is that problem? Two primary factors: external identity acceptance and bad culture. There isn’t enough room to address the former so let’s talk about culture.
Every group which has embraced the same culture black Americans from the south has has had the same problems and been treated the same. Every group that embraced a more productive culture, one the embraces and upholds as valuable a useful work ethic and intelligence has become successful and had their massive internal violence problem solved. Every single one. Meanwhile those which did not, are still suffering today.
But even facing the reality of racism vs culture is seen as taboo, driven primarily by existing intellectuals who make their money by the status quo. The only ones who profit from racism are those who are being the loudest “anti-racist”. Whether it be journalists, pundits, politicians, or professional demagogues these are the people who have a dependency on racism not only existing but being in demand.
It works because you can’t (yet?) change people’s race. As such as long as you continually define anything bad as being because of racism, as long as you make more things “racist”, you always have a never ending supply — and thus profit potential.
But you can change people’s culture. It takes time, true. But it has been shown time and again throughout history to solve these problems being attributed to the “racist white man” in America. It will take a couple, maybe three, generations to really see the difference on a large scale. But you see it on the small scale within the lifetime of the individuals who change their culture.
When a black child stands against the culture of “don’t be like white people” or “books are for fools and uncle toms”, makes a difference for themselves. and then passes that “new culture” on to the next generation a real and powerful change has happened.
If the so-called “black leaders” were to put even half of their time and effort into eliminating the corrosive culture so many blacks in America are subjected to they would see a shocking amount of improvement in as little as a decade.
There will still be pockets of “the old ways” even after a hundred years. After all there are still rednecks/white trash. Every society or race has a name for the subset which embraces the violent and unproductive culture lower class black Americans are currently suffering from. Among white Americans that is currently “white trash”.
So how about taking the fight to the right target, where a real difference can be made — the divisive, antagonistic, and backward culture saddling the worst areas of black communities? Or you can sit back and abdicate actual thought, data, historical lessons, and actual meaningful change by continuing to label, or accept someone’s labeling of, an entire country as racist.
