Why Family is the Most Important Asset That You Have

Hi, I am Dimitri Patterson, a professional NFL cornerback. My website: http://thedimitripatterson.com/
Family is the most important thing that you have.
It is not only the most important part of our life but also the glue that literally holds your life together.
Imagine a day without your family and you will realise that it is impossible to do so.
Now let me tell you the importance of being a family oriented person.
1. Future for your children
When you think about family, the first thing that comes to your mind is children.
The only thing that can guarantee a future for your child is, you.
Yes, schools have an important role to play in developing their social and psycho-social abilities.
But, you as parent define them; you will decide what personality traits your child will have.
This is because your child spends way more time at home with you than he/ she does at school, he/ she will imbibe more from your experiences and personality than you think they do.
When a child is constantly criticised, he will grow up to be a scared and easily intimidated person.
When a child is appreciated and nurtured he will become more confident of his/her abilities and competence in general.
And it’s not just you, all the people that are in your family, all the aunts and uncles, the grandparents and every member of your family that you have will have an impact on the way your child grows up.
Make sure that you only have the right influences around for your child to learn from, and make sure that you do.

2. Stick with you through any situation
Whenever you are in a situation like the ones where you don’t know the way out of. Your family is the first people you turn to.
They are the strongest pillars in your life.
Be it any situation, no matter how bad, you can always lean back on your family.
A head full of all the stress. A head full of all the negativity. Family will never judge you in any situation.
Make sure that you discuss all the problems with you family, your spouse, your parents and even your children (you will be surprised how simple solutions from kids can change your perspective towards a problem).
You will always find a solution to all your problems.
3. Someone to share your happiness with
Happiness has to be shared to be complete. There is no better place than your family to share your happiness with.
They will completely and wholeheartedly share your happiness. The joy when shared with your family also doubles itself.
It may be success in your work, some personal achievement or anything else, family will be always there to share your happiness.
No matter how small or big your accomplishments be, your family will be the first ones who hear about it and the ones who cherish them the most.
4. The biggest anchor in your life
Family provides you emotional anchorage and holds on to you no matter how bad things get.
There are times in your life when you lose all hope.
That hope is built again by your family.
Situations of deep regret and remorse completely vanish when we have a family to share our concerns and issues with.
The only thing that you have to do is to let your family be that support system for you so that they can hold on to you on in difficult situations.
Respect your family because will never let you fall.
They are your biggest strength and motivation.
5. They keep you sane
Life is never constant.
It keeps changing before you can even notice that things have changed.
We have to keep pace between all ups and downs.
Many a times we lose our sanity and find ourselves in deep dilemma. It is at these times that we need our family the most.
To cope with our tantrums and situation.
Remember, a strong family is the best resource that you have to be sane and stay sane.
Whenever you start to think that you are not being yourself, always ask your family first.
Here is how to keep your sanity when you are the caregiver for your family.
6. Unlimited love
Love is that part of your life without which you cannot imagine your life for a single day.
Family gives you love that is always unlimited and also unconditional. We never even have to ask for their love.
It just flows from them to us.
There is always an emotional connect between you and your family.
You might be having an emotional breakdown today.
But you know deep inside that you can always turn back to your family for support.
Loving your family and getting love back from them is unconditional.
Always respect this unconditional love.
Many people come in our life as friends, colleagues and acquaintances but no one can take the place of family in our lives.
Family will be there by your side always.
As a support and as an anchor.
